• Worked extensively with owner representatives, clients, general contractors, engineers,
interior designers, food service consultants and local jurisdictions, meeting and
exceeding client expectations.
• Project design for up to: 600 seat food service facilities, a $58.5M construction budget,
235,000 square feet, 120 residential units and 180 condo hotel units. Master plan for up
to: 1,050 seats food service facilities and a $1.231B project budget; 1.8 million square
feet, 1,000 hotel rooms and condos.
• Held P&L responsibility of up to $1.8M, managing six direct reports with oversight of up
to 30 professional staff.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
• Created a solution to expand 33 units at one of the best ski-in and ski-out locations in
Vail, CO, the Lion Square Lodge East condo / hotel. Analyzed and redesigned their
property to include alternatives. Redesign resulted in a 31% increase in area units, an
increase of more than 275% in property value at a cost of $7.5M.
• Planned building location for food service facility on Peak Ten in Breckenridge, CO with
ski school, lift access, outdoor and indoor dining, BBQ, conference and wedding
business, and retail. Increased customer satisfaction with a 13,000 square foot, $3.5M
service facility.
• Developed Master Plan to double 44,000 square foot gaming space, add 131 guest
rooms, 188 suites and parking for 844 cars for the Canyon Casino in Black Hawk, CO.
Created a land assemblage plan for the property behind and adjacent to the casino,
presented and negotiated the new right of way alignments and entitlements with the City.
• Designed top and bottom transportation gondola terminals with a base terminal
connected to a mountain services warehouse, and 72,000 square foot mountain top
terminal integrated into 1,200 seat food services venues, retail, cabin storage bays, and
maintenance shops. Coordinated all gondola system manufacturer requirements.
• Designed and developed Intrawest new Corporate HQ’s in downtown Denver, CO.
Analyzed lease locations and negotiated furniture packages with vendors. Selected
historic warehouse building and built out 23,800 square feet of office space for 120
employees. Added an additional 7300 square feet for 40 employees one year later.

• Created Nelson’s restaurant at Mediterranean-inspired Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos
Verdes, CA, which sits at the edge of a 60 foot cliff with views of the Pacific Ocean and
Catalina Island. Proposed negotiated design was for a 2,700 square foot facility and bar
accommodating 80 indoor seats and 150 outdoor seats with a patio, fireplace, and a fire
pit. Exterior stone work was mined onsite to cut project costs.
• Designed and Developed Master Plan for “The Destination of Change” at Pikes Peak,
CO. Focused on multiple platforms / venues for an integral global institution for a
knowledge exchange of advanced technologies. Effort included a 4-phased plan for a
budgeted $1.231B for hotel rooms, condos, food and beverage, entertainment, meeting
and classroom seats and land acquisition.
• Designed “resurrected settlement” of buildings at Vail’s Blue Sky Basin expansion at
11,000 feet. Created mountain settlement of 14,000 square feet of skier services
facilities as part of a past mountain community theme, utilizing non-combustible cement
materials to mitigate fire danger, providing an authentic rusticated appearance.
